Dear Sensei,

Thank you for this trip. It has been an unforgettable experience, one that I shall always treasure. I have made many new friends, and more importantly, come away knowing you that much better: you are the very embodiment of the Spirit of Aikido, and I for one am deeply appreciative of your presence in our lives.

Your classes in Singapore have always inspired me to excel, but after this trip, I now realize how incomparably wonderful it is to be nurtured by you, an experience we tend to take for granted. Through my recent awakenings, I now see that your teachings are infused with a special brilliance, one that brings much radiance into our lives.

I am afraid that my vocabulary cannot do justice to the virtuosity of your spirit, but no matter, my heart remains ablaze with undiminished gratitude towards you for your patience, perseverance, and passion in leading us from strength to strength.

Once again, thank you… for you being YOU!

With profound respect at all times, and
Warmest regards,

Suresh

Dear Sensei George Chang

I would like to express my deepest gratitude to be able to study and practice Aikido under you, Sensei. You are a good teacher, always patient and understanding towards us and have always accepted us. Thank you.

It was during the Aikikai Camp that I realized that it is not only the beauty of Aikido as an art that draws me, but also you, Sensei, that makes me want to learn more about Aikido. It is through you that Aikido becomes alive and beautiful and it is more than a martial art to me, Aikido has become the way of harmony; the way of life and I am thankful to Sensei for showing and sharing it with me.

There are many things that I do not know and understand about Aikido and I am grateful for Sensei to be here to guide me during this journey.

During the Q&A session in the camp, I wanted to ask Sensei this question: How does a student show his gratitude towards his Sensei? Maybe you can share your point of view with me one of these days.

Lastly, I would like to thank Sensei again for everything and wish Sensei health and happiness always.

Your student,

Fang
