O Sensei passed away on the 26th of April 1969. Kisshomaru Ueshiba succeeded
O Sensei and assumed the title of Doshu, head of the Aikido world.
Kisshomaru Ueshiba Doshu was born on the 27th of June 1921 and trained under
the guidance of his father Morihei Ueshiba. He continued to spread the teachings
of Aikido until his passing on the 4th of January 1999, his son Moriteru Ueshiba
became the 3rd Doshu of Aikido. Moriteru Ueshiba is the current Doshu of Aikido.
